This past Saturday, November 1st was the 2025 Storybook Gala for Judi's Place for Kids themed "A Tale as Old as Time" in celebration of 25 years of service in the communities of Pike, Floyd, Johnson, Magoffin, and Martin. The venue for the gala this year was the University of Pikeville and catering was provided by Aramark. Governor Andy Beshear sent a special video message to share with the guests and the University of Pikeville's very own Dr. Genesia Kilgore-Bowling was the keynote speaker for the evening; sharing the importance of the work completed at Judi's Place for Kids while instilling in everyone in attendance the goals of hope and healing for the children served. The night included a plated meal, silent and live auctions, games, and dancing. Judi's Place for Kids wants to extend a thank you to all the guests that attended and all of the continued support provided that allows the us to continue providing all of our services to the children we serve.

Judi's Place is on the hunt for local organizations and businesses that are interested in sponsoring this year's Run With Courage 5K on April 15. All proceeds from the event go directly to serving victims of child abuse. There are four different levels of sponsorships offering opportunities for every size of organization! Registration for the Judi's Place for Kids 15th Annual Run With Courage 5K opens on February 1st at 8am. The race will be held on April 15th at Pikeville City Park. The cost to participate in the race is $30. You can register at runsignup.com/runwithcourage!
